Island Baal (Solution)

Have you got the answer? Let's compare with mine!

Here, we have two objects to identified as who is who.
A said, “B is a lying monkey. I am human.”
B said, “A is telling the truth.”

Each may be a truth teller monkey, a truth teller man, a lying monkey, or a lying man (4 possibilities).

Based on their statements, we’re lead to an assumption that if B is an honestant, then A would be an honestant, too. But it’s contrary to what A said that B is a lying monkey. Knowing B is a liar, A must be a liar, too.

What did A lie about? A is true about B is lying, but he’s not true about monkey and human. The fact is A is a monkey, while B is a man. So, we can conclude that A is a lying monkey, while B is a lying man.

P.S.: This brain teaser I copied from Brain Teasers (http://brainden.com/logic-problems.htm). Just on click on that link, then you’ll get more brain teasers to tease your brain or even just to ease your boring day. When you get stuck, you can visit brain teasers forum to get extra “clues” from them whom have tried to solve it (but for me, it’s better to do it by myself as I did in solving this quiz).
